Brittany Villas
Brittany on the west coast of France is known for its wide bays, wild coastline and lush green countryside scattered with cider orchards. Brittany is divided into five areas or departments; Finistére in the west, to the North Côtes-d'Armor, Ille-et-Vilaine in the northeast, Loire-Atlantique to the southeast and in the middle Morbihan by the Bay of Biscay. One of the most popular areas for our
Brittany villas is around the ancient town of Quimper that stretches along the banks of the river Odet. The Medieval quarter with it cobbled streets is dominated by the distinctive twin-spired Cathedral. Described as the prettiest river in France, the Odet winds through town where it is crossed by many low bridges that drip with colourful geraniums. There are lots of cafés and bars in which to try a class of kir – local cider mixed with créme de cassis or tuck into a delicious Breton galette. Our nearby
villas in Brittany can be found in Coray, Le Guilvinec, Plomeur, Tréffiagat and La Fºret Fouesnant where you'll find our 5-bedroom Villa Penlan down a hidden country lane. Yet the beach, small harbour, local shops and restaurants are only a short walk away this Brittany villa giving you the best of both worlds.
Picturesque Pont-Aven with its many galleries and shops is another much sought after destination for our Brittany villas. You'll find our pretty 2 bedroom Villa Kerlola with its wooden beams and stone floors just oozes traditional Breton style and is set in a peaceful hamlet near Névez with beaches, riding, tennis and shops only a few kilometres away. For those of you with larger parties seeking a similar quiet location close to local amenities our 4-bedroom Brittany villa Manoir d'Airen dating back to the 17th century is set in a forest.
Many of our villas in Brittany are associated with its past such as the Villa Pont Jegu, at Cléder near Roscoff, ideally placed for both arrival by plane or boat. This 15th century turreted stone building was once used as a weaver's house and has been lovingly restored and updated to include a heated outdoor pool. It also has the added bonus of possible boat trips for you in the owner's yacht or fishing boat and as such is one of our most popular villas in Brittany.
