Tuscany Villas
With its gently rolling hillsides covered in vineyards and olive groves, dark green cypress trees lining winding sandy roads leading to stone built farmhouses and walled hilltop towns, the visual romance of Tuscany and its neighbour Umbria has been seducing mankind for generations. Situated in the north of Italy this region is famous for its art, from frescoes and sculpture to paintings and architectural masterpieces. The regional capital Florence is rich in historical and artistic treasures, indeed Tuscany is seen as the birthplace of the Renaissance. We have holiday villas in Tuscany, as well as villas in Umbria Italy, which lies to the east.
Holiday Villas in Tuscany
As with all Villa Centre properties we have carefully sought out locations that ensure you get the very best of what this region has to offer, from coastal hideaways and hilltop havens to mountain retreats and lakeside gems. You'll find our
Tuscany Villas in Perugia, Grosseto, Lucca, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, and Orvieto. In fact villas have their origins in Italy: the Romans built these summer residences to escape the oppressive heat of the city, a tradition that continues today with 21st century Italian families and one which we hope you will enjoy by booking one of our
villas for rent in Tuscany.
Lucca is one of Tuscany's 'cities of art', an ancient walled town with a rich mercantile heritage, the perfect base to explore the other famous cities and towns in the region. The hills surrounding Lucca are covered in vineyards and olive groves as well as some of the most stunning
villas to rent in Tuscany such as Villa Casina. Pisa and its leaning tower are a mere 40 minute drive from this 3 bedroom
villa in Tuscany and you're only a few minutes drive from the exclusive Camaiore coastline with its stylish beach front bars and restaurants. Your villa with mature secluded gardens enjoys sea views to the front whilst the Alpi Apuana, famous for its marble quarries, can be seen in the distance behind.
Villas to Rent in Tuscany
Holiday villas in Tuscany don't come more authentic then Villa Andante in Ranco, Arezzo. This pretty 2-bedroom stone cottage with its own pool nestles on a hillside and even has a rather romantic ruined tower you can admire whilst sipping one of the region's famous wines such as Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Another gem of a villa in Tuscany but on a larger scale is the 5- bedroom Villa Annibale in Tuoro sul Trasimeno. This large stone farmhouse with its elevated position has breathtaking views of Lake Trasimeno and offers you and your family an al fresco dining area under a vine covered pergola as well as a whole host of water sports from fishing to swimming and sailing. Nearby is another of Tuscany's cities of art, the medieval walled city of Cortona, the setting for the book 'Under a Tuscan Sun'.
Villas in Umbria
Cortona is close to the Umbrian border where you'll find Villa Tranquillo one of our
villas in Umbria, Italy. It's situated in Orvieto home of one of Italy's most famous wines Orvieto Classico. You'll be able to enjoy a glass of this whilst sitting by the pool of the Villa Tranquillo, which overlooks a vineyard. This 4-bedroom Umbrian hideaway also enjoys fabulous views of the glittering black and white cathedral of Orvieto perched up on hill.
