Ad expected to attract Brits to Costa Blanca |
British tourists are expected to flock to Costa Blanca villas this summer, thanks in part to a cinema ad promoting the region, it has been reported.
The 20 second commercial has been shown in movie theatres this weekend in the UK, where thousands of people headed to watch a film and escape the grim bank holiday weather.
Film fans were treated to a glimpse of what holiday in the sunny Spanish area is like before settling down to the watch the action packed Indiana Jones, typicallyspanish.com says.
The advert is part of a new campaign from the Alicante provincial tourism office and was shown in hubs across the country.
According to reports, the campaign will see the advert shown more than 99,000 times in all and will no doubt entice sun seekers to book their villas with a pool in the Costa Blanca.
As well as the city of Alicante, the region has plenty of other places to attract tourists this summer including Benidorm, Murcia and Torrevieja.
