Algarve to host Portugal Masters |
Autumn holidaymakers staying in Algarve villas will not be the only people enjoying Portugal's famous holiday resort in October as it hosts the Portugal Masters.
This event will come to the Oceanico Victoria Golf Club in Vilamoura from October 16th to 19th.
One of the major meetings on golf's European tour, this event offers an attractive reward of €3 million (£2.4 million) to the winner, ensuring that all competitors will be giving their all to stay ahead of the pack.
The Oceanico Victoria Golf Club was designed by legendary American golfer Arnold Palmer, who set out the course to challenge players with the locations of bunkers and lakes.
After people staying in Algarve villas watch the world's top golfers in Vilamoura, the PGA European tour will move to Spain for two contests before the final meeting in China.
Castellon will be the location for the Castello Masters on October 23rd-26th, before Cadiz plays host to the Volvo Masters on October 30th-November 2nd.
