Alicante to boast new 'green corridor' |
People planning villa holidays in Spain's Costa Blanca region will soon be able to enjoy a new 'green corridor' in Alicante, according to reports.
Luis Diaz Alperi, mayor of Alicante, intends to create a new route linking the city's existing and planned parks.
The 15km corridor will run through the destinations of Orgegia and Playa San Juan, Typically Spanish reports.
It is thought that the route will connect these locations to the planned million-square-metre park area at Rabassa.
The region's local government is yet to give official approval to the initiative, which could come at a cost of around 26 million (£20.5 million).
Alicante is a highly popular destination for people on villa holidays on the Spanish Costa Blanca, boasting attractions including a marina and miles of coastline.
