Alicante to host medieval market |
Holidaymakers staying in Costa Blanca villas at the end of June will be able to visit Alicante as it hosts a traditional medieval market.
The city holds its retrospective fair on the final weekend in June every year after the Saint John's bonfires celebrations.
Visitors will be able to browse a variety of products and see different crafts being practised in front of them, including ironwork, pottery and glassmaking.
There will also be plenty of entertainment provided in the form of street musicians, dancers, jugglers and even bird handlers giving falconry displays.
People looking forward to villa holidays on the Costa Blanca will be able to find the market behind the town hall in Alicante's old quarter.
Alicante is one of Spain's major tourist hotspots and boasts a diverse range of attractions and sights, including the Santa Barbara Castle which offers excellent views of the town and harbour and the Playa del Postiguet beach.
