Art experts to speak at Museo Picasso |
Art lovers staying in Costa del Sol villas will have the chance to pay a visit to the Museo Picasso in Malaga over the coming months as the institution plays host to expert speakers from across Europe.
The range of lectures, which have been arranged as part of the museum's exhibition on Max Ernst, will include a talk by Werner Spies, a professor at the Dusseldorf Academy of Art, on November 6th.
Spies, who was a personal friend of Ernst's, will share his personal views of the artist's work.
People taking villa holidays on the Costa del Sol will also be able to attend a talk on November 13th by Tanja Wessolowski, from the Centre Allemand d'Histoire de l'Art in Paris, who will speak about the presence of nature in Ernst's art.
The series of lectures will come to an end on November 20th with a talk by Julia Drost, the director of the Centre Allemand d'Histoire de l'Art, exploring the work that Ernst did when he travelled to America in the 1940s to escape Nazi persecution.
People staying in Costa del Sol villas should be sure to pay a visit to the Museo Picasso in Malaga before March 1st 2009 to see the exhibition dedicated to Ernst, who was one of the 20th century's leading artists.
