Blackburn Rovers head to the Algarve |
Football fans are likely to flock to the sunny Algarve this July after it was revealed that Blackburn Rovers will be battling it out against Portuguese teams Benfica and Sporting Lisbon.
The matches are expected to see many Brits book villas in the Algarve where they can enjoy the sunshine before the teams head out to play.
Rovers will be participating in the Guadiana Cup, which will be held in the Algarve between July 25th and 27th.
Held at the Vila Real St. Antonio Stadium in Albufeira, the three team tournament is expected to be a nail-biter for British fans with last year seeing the cup go to Benfica.
Football fans are urged to book Algarve villas where they can combine a trip to the stadium with a longer break in the Portuguese sunshine.
The Algarve is renowned for it sporting facilities with golf remaining a particularly popular past time with visitors.
