Bordeaux to toast region's best wine |
Alcohol aficionados on villa holidays in France will soon be sampling the best beverages the country has to offer at the Bordeaux Wine Festival.
This world-famous event will celebrate wine and the various cultural and social traditions associated with it over four days from June 26th-29th.
The festival is held in a 12-hectare area in the heart of the city of Bordeaux.
People on villa holidays in the Dordogne and other parts of south-west France who attend the event will visit a location considered the largest square in Europe, according to the French tourist office.
A tasting pass will allow visitors to sample a variety of wines from the Bordeaux and Aquitaine region, while a vineyard pass will offer the opportunity to tour the Gironde wine region.
One of the highlights of this year's festival will be an homage to St Petersburg, which will celebrate the cultural heritage of the Russian city.
