Brittany offers 'alternative to Glastonbury' |
With the dust slowly settling on Worthy Farm following this year's Glastonbury festival, Brittany is preparing to host its own alternative to the famous music event for people on villa holidays to enjoy.
The 17th edition of the Les Vieilles Charrues outdoor music festival will take place in Carhaix in the heart of Brittany from July 17th to 20th.
Taking place in a natural amphitheatre near the city of Brest, this event serves as a showcase of international talent and features both established and upcoming artists.
This year's line-up includes Morcheeba, The Hives, Vanessa Paradis, Camille, Calvin Harris, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, ZZ Top, Motorhead, the Wombats and many more.
Some 180,000 people are expected to attend the festival, watching around 80 bands over the course of four days.
Les Vieilles Charrues is the largest greenfield festival in France, with three stages based on a site covering 100 acres of land.
