Classical music comes to Provence |
Tourists staying in holiday villas in Provence should be sure to pay a visit to venues in the area that are involved in the festival of Les Nuits Pianistiques.
This event has been running since October 3rd and will continue to bring classical music performances to south-east France until December 19th.
Concerts will be hosted by institutions including the Musee des Tapisseries, the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud and the Cite du Livre in Aix en Provence, as well as the Theatre Toursky in Marseille.
On November 16th, the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud will present recitals of pieces by Frescobaldi, Bach and Beethoven.
The Cite du Livre will be the location for the final event in Les Nuits Pianistiques on December 19th, with pieces by Chopin to entertain the audience on the last night of the festival.
People on villa holidays in France will be able to enjoy performances of work by a number of other great composers during the festival, including Mozart, Haydn and Dvorak.
