Delve into the past in Florence |
Holidaymakers staying in Tuscany villas over the coming months will have the chance to delve deep into the past at a special exhibition being held at the Archaeological Museum of Florence.
The display, which will be held until June 8th, uses archaeological finds to explore the lives of children and the games they played some 2,000 years ago.
About 90 objects make up the display, most of which are taken from the Archaeological Museum's collections.
The exhibits range from terracotta rattles that were given to babies thousands of years ago to dolls and toys made of bone and walnut.
There are also a number of items that were thought to have been used by adults, including Roman dice-shakers and draughtsmen that are on loan from the Maritime Museum in the Tuscan city of Pisa.
People staying in Tuscany villas over the coming months can find the Archaeological Museum at Piazza Santissima Annunziata in Florence.
