Discover Marseille at the International Fair |
Brits staying in holiday villas in Provence between September 26th and October 6th should ensure they pay a visit to Marseille's Parc Chanot for the International Fair.
The fair is promoted as an event that "celebrates the arts of living".
It will host 1,400 French and international exhibitors as well as some 400,000 visitors exploring a variety of cultures, crafts, trends and artistic creations.
Held in a 17-hectare park next to the beach, the Marseille International Fair is intended to support the city's bid to be the European Capital of Culture in the year 2013.
People staying in holiday villas in Provence and other visitors will be presented with painters, dancers, writers, photographers and other artists demonstrating the full value of Marseille as a cultural hotspot.
Those who prefer entertainment with more of an edge will be able to watch BMX, rollerblade and skateboard competitions featuring some of the best riders and skaters from around Europe.
One of the highlights of the Marseille International Fair will be a late-night opening on October 3rd that will include dozens of musical shows, concerts, parades, dances and other events.
