Enjoy beautiful Brittany |
Visitors to the Breton coast can be greeted by beautiful pink granite coasts off the French coastal town Perros Guirec and the most beautiful pathway in Bretagne, the Sentier des Douaniers.
Known for its wild and rustic landscape, Brittany is one of the six Celtic nations and was at one time called Lesser Britain and sits upon a large peninsula in the northwest of France between the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay to the south.
Brittany is largely famous for its many monuments, which are still surrounded by mystery.
One legend behind the rocks states that if a single girl can place a needle in the nose of a statue of the Saint Guirec oratory, that dates back to the 12th century, then she will marry within one year. But if the needle should fall out, the girl must wait one more year.
The expansive coastline and awe inspiring history helped the resort be voted as the best seaside resort of France in 2007 by Le Nouvel Observateur.
