Euro cash machines trialled across UK |
People planning villa holidays in France and a number of other European countries could soon have their pre-travel arrangements made easier by the rollout of euro-dispensing cash machines across the UK.
The Post Office is currently trialling ATMs that offer euros and dollars at 13 of its branches across the country, the Times reports.
If the initiative proves successful, the organisation intends to make the machines available throughout the UK.
Helen Warburton, head of travel for the Post Office, said that the dispensers, which will be commission-free and match the exchange rates available at counters, will make holiday preparation easier.
"It will take the pressure off queues," she told the Times. "It will be much more convenient."
Euro-dispensing ATMs are also available at 21 Marks & Spencer stores across the UK, while HSBC reportedly plans to launch the machines at railway stations and shopping centres.
