Exhibition to explore everyday Picasso |
Picasso's paintings and sculptures are among the best known works in the art world, but not so much is known about the private and working life of the artist himself.
An exhibition being launched at the Museo Picasso Malaga (MPM) on June 16th will aim to change this fact.
The display, called Moments and Gazes: Picasso as seen by Otero, will set out to evoke the everyday atmosphere of the great painter's studio.
Roberto Otero's pictures look at the private, personal side of Picasso's life and consider the man behind a legendary artistic name.
Otero had close access to the private side of Picasso during the time he spent in his chateau in Mougins in the south of France.
His archive includes more than 1,500 images, which were acquired by the MPM in late 2005.
Art lovers staying in Costa del Sol villas will be able to visit the exhibition at the Malaga museum, which is located on Calle San Agustin, until August 20th.
