F1 championship to roar into Valencia |
Motorsport fans staying in Costa Blanca villas this summer will be ideally placed to enjoy one of the highlights of the 2008 Formula One season.
On August 22nd-24th, the Spanish city of Valencia will host Formula One's European Grand Prix for the first time in its history.
This year's race will represent the first time in more than ten years that the European Grand Prix has not been held at Germany's famous Nurburgring.
People staying in Costa Blanca villas who are able to make it to the event will see the world's fastest race cars tearing round a brand new 3.4-mile track in Valencia's harbour.
This area has become something of a sporting hotspot for Valencia, as it was also the location for the launch of the America's Cup yachting contest in 2007.
Grandstands will be set up at a number of locations around the track, which will pass close to the water's edge and run through suburbs before running alongside the River Turia and returning to the port.
