Fairs galore in the Dordogne |
People staying in villas in France who pay a visit to the Dordogne region over the coming months will get the chance to explore a number of quaint and charming markets.
On the first Sunday morning of every month, a bric-a-brac fair is held outside Saint Jacques church in the town of Bergerac.
The old square of La Place Pelissiere hosts a variety of market stalls, giving visitors the chance to peruse all sorts of items and potential souvenirs and also interact with the local people.
On July 20th, the traders and browsers will move to Issigeac for a basket fair.
The town of Issigeac is famous for its craftsmen and women who make baskets and other pieces of traditional wickerwork, the finest examples of which are brought to the village square every summer.
Holidaymakers who visit the fair will be able to choose from plenty of items that represent the character and appeal of their holiday destination.
