Foreigners 'prefer Costa Blanca' |
A new study has found that people taking villa holidays and other trips in Spain prefer to visit the Costa Blanca than any other destination in the region.
The research, carried out by the Agency for Mediation, Integrity and Social Co-existence, found that common features such as beaches, good weather and healthy Mediterranean food are among the features that attract people to the Costa Blanca.
It also discovered that the appeal of the coastal stretch is so strong that many expatriates choose the Costa Blanca as their new home, Euro Weekly News reports.
Coastal destinations such as Altea, Calpe, Torrevieja and the Orihuela coast are among the most popular with people visiting the Costa Blanca, according to the research.
People staying in Costa Blanca villas who are interested in discovering some locations that have retained their traditions and local character can head to inland towns such as Comptat, Elche and San Miguel de Salinas.
The area also boasts a number of leisure opportunities, including the Aqua Natura water park, the Terra Mitica theme park and a number of markets and theatres.
