Jazz festival entertains Cyprus |
Holidaymakers staying in villas in Cyprus can enjoy a number of cultural events and activities on the island, such as the Jazz Festival currently taking place in Aglandjia.
This musical celebration is being held for the second consecutive year after the 2007 event proved a success.
If this year's outing of the Jazz Festival is just as well received it is likely to be turned into an annual event, meaning people on villa holidays will be able to enjoy it in the future.
This year's programme of concerts on June 10th and 11th includes shows by groups from Cyprus, such as the Blue Voice Jazz Ensemble.
Other artists include the Marzio Scholten Quartet from Holland and the Chris Bryars Quartet from the USA.
Later this year opera fans in Cyprus will be able to enjoy a production of Madame Butterfly, which will be staged at the Paphos Medieval Fort on August 29th-31st.
