Local derby to entertain Rome visitors |
A sense of anticipation and excitement will be noticeable for people taking villa holidays in Rome this month as the city prepares to host its local derby.
The two matches between Roma and Lazio that take place every Serie A season are always interesting affairs and the 2008-09 campaign is set to be no different.
Rome's Stadio Olimpico, which is the home of both of these sides, will play host to the first of this season's derbies on November 16th.
Roma's forthcoming matches could present opportunities for the side to get their season back on track – after nine games they had picked up only seven points, placing them 17th in the league.
After playing Lazio, Luciano Spalletti's side will face Fiorentina at home on November 30th before welcoming Cagliari on December 14th.
People taking villa holidays in Rome may also be interested in seeing some of Lazio's games at the Stadio Olimpico, which will include a meeting with title contenders Inter Milan on December 6th and a match against Palermo on December 21st.
