Malaga exhibition features British artist |
People taking villa holidays on the Costa del Sol over the coming weeks and months can pay a visit to the Picasso Foundation to see an exhibition of work by Roland Penrose.
A new display of some of the British artist's pieces opened at the art institution today (October 23rd), Typically Spanish reports.
Art enthusiasts staying in Costa del Sol villas who visit the exhibition will see the first display of Penrose's work in Spain for some 30 years.
As well as being artistic associates, Picasso and Penrose were very close friends, with the Briton going on to write his Spanish contemporary's biography.
A number of pieces by Penrose, who was one of the first surrealist painters to work in Britain, are included in the exhibition along with some photographs taken by his wife Lee Miller.
People on villa holidays in Spain will be able to see the display until January 25th, when it will move on to Tenerife.
