Malaga gallery to host work of Daniel Richter |
People staying in Costa del Sol villas over the coming months will be able to expand their knowledge of the modern art scene with a visit to one of Malaga's major museums.
The Centro de Arte Contemporaneo (CAC) de Malaga will host an exhibition dedicated to Daniel Richter from April 11th until July 13th this year.
Richter is a German artist based in Berlin and Hamburg whose work has appeared in many exhibitions across the world.
He is known for his rich and striking paintings, which sometimes borrow themes from Christianity and German history and reference a range of styles and movements including baroque and pre-Raphaelite.
Richter's exhibition will follow a display of the work of Roni Horn at the CAC Malaga, which will run until March 30th.
Horn is a highly influential modern American artist and the exhibition in Spain includes photographs, installations and two of her books.
Visitors who catch this show will be able to see Horn's first solo exhibition in Spain, the guiding thread of which is the portrait.
