Mallorca hosts 2nd ceramics biennale |
This summer people staying in holiday villas in Mallorca will be able to visit the second Marratxi Ceramics Biennale.
Experts in ceramic artistry from around the world will attend the event this summer, to join in with celebrations of one of the crafts that it is most closely associated with the island of Mallorca.
People staying in Mallorca villas will be able see work in the ceramic medium by more than 70 artists from 21 countries, who will be presenting some 125 pieces of work.
Major prizes will be awarded and the winning pieces and other selected works will be displayed at the Museu del Fang in Marratxi from July 5th to August 2nd.
Visitors on villa holidays in Mallorca will find this museum on Carrer del Moli.
The town of Marratxi is famous for its traditional pottery and has hosted a special annual fair devoted to the art-form, the Fira des Fang, since 1984.
