New routes to link Yorkshire to Spain |
People from northern England planning villa holidays in Spain will be interested to hear of new flights set to launch from Leeds Bradford airport.
Ryanair will launch two new routes to Girona on Spain's Costa Brava and Alicante on the Costa Blanca on October 1st, offering increased access for people looking for autumn getaways.
There will be four flights a week available on the Girona route, while the Alicante service will operate three times a week.
Announcing the new connections, Bridget Dowling of Ryanair said that both of the Spanish cities were important destinations for business and leisure travellers.
Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at Leeds Bradford airport, said: "We are pleased to see Ryanair developing their range of international services serving the fast growing cities of Leeds and Bradford.
"We also look forward to working with Ryanair to encourage an increasing number of tourists to our dynamic and diverse region."
People planning villa holidays can catch flights to a number of destinations from Leeds, including Palma de Mallorca, Paphos, Nice, Avignon, Malaga and Pisa.
