'New world music' to come to Paphos |
People taking villa holidays in Cyprus this month will be in for a musical treat as the tourist town of Paphos plays host to a major event.
The Music from the New World concert will be held at the Makreidion Theatre in Paphos on October 30th.
Presented by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the soloist Menelaos Menelaou, the show will include works by Samuel Barber, Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copland and John Corigliano.
This is one of a series of three concerts that will be held in Cyprus at the end of October, with the city of Limassol hosting a show on the 29th before the event comes to Nicosia on the 31st.
People taking villa holidays in Cyprus will have the chance to attend a number of music events this month, including an evening hosted by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra in Nicosia on October 17th.
This concert will include works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Bartok.
