Sample the cuisine of the Costa Brava |
Brits staying in Costa Brava villas in October will have plenty of opportunities to sample the cuisine of the region at a gastronomy show.
This event will be held between September 27th and October 26th in the town of Peratallada in Forallac. More information can be found at local tourist offices.
The focus of the fair will be poultry, with dishes made from chicken, duck, pigeon and other meats, prepared in a variety of ways.
Spain's Costa Brava is well known for its cuisine, with visitors offered opportunities to try traditional dishes incorporating seafood and meat as well as some more unusual ingredients.
Another opportunity for people staying in Costa Brava villas who want to get a feel of the region's culture is a tour of its medieval towns and villages.
The medieval period was of great importance for the Girona area in particular and holidaymakers will be able to find monasteries, castles, Romanesque churches and other sights to enjoy.
