Temperatures continue to climb in Cyprus |
Sun worshippers will be in their element on villa holidays in Cyprus at the moment as temperatures are high and are expected to rise further during the week.
Forecasters said that another front of dry and hot weather will sweep across the island over the coming days, the Cyprus Mail reports.
Visitors enjoying holiday hotspots on the coast will be slightly cooler, with temperatures here expected to range from 33C to 36C, compared to sweltering highs inland of between 38C and 41C.
These temperatures are reportedly around 4C higher than average levels at this time of year.
While the conditions may sound like heaven to lovers of the sunshine, the Cyprus Meteorological Service advised holidaymakers and residents to avoid spending time outside between the hours of 11:00 and 16:00.
Regular heatwaves have been beating down on Cyprus since May this year, when temperatures reached a high of 41 degrees.
