Tennis star to appear in Cyprus marketing push |
Former Wimbledon semi-finalist Marcos Baghdatis is set to appear in a new advertising drive to be launched by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation.
Cypriot star Baghdatis will appear in a campaign that will run until June and promote villa holidays in Cyprus and other travel options on the island.
In addition to his parts in the commercials, the tennis player will act as an ambassador for the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and participate in global events and future advertising, Travelmole reports.
The major campaign will include a number of prime-time television spots, on ITV1, Channel 4, Sky outlets and the Travel Channel.
There will also be a print and outdoor element to the launch, with adverts in newspaper supplements and glossy magazines as well as billboards, digital screens and rail station posters to target commuters.
'Love Cyprus' will be the theme of the campaign, with a number of heart-shaped images included in the promotional launches.
An emphasis will also be placed on scenery, beaches and the island's family-friendly attractions.
