Tour prepares to launch in Brittany |
Fans of cycling will be booking their villas in France soon in order to see the launch of the Tour de France in Brittany.
The tour gets underway on July 5th, with a route stretching from Brest to Plumelec, before the riders travel from Auray to Saint-Brieuc on the following day.
Participants then ride through the diverse landscapes and settings of France for the following three weeks before reaching their goal on Paris' Champs-Elysees on July 27th.
People taking villa holidays in Brittany for the beginning of the race will be able to gather at a number of destinations on the route to see the riders pass through the region's stunning landscapes.
Those who are interested in trying some cycling of their own can attempt one of Brittany's 'voies vertes', or green routes, which run through a number of wildlife areas and small villages.
Other activities in the region including hiking, pony-trekking, clifftop climbing and experiences of Brittany's famous culinary traditions.
