Valencia to host top golfers |
Holidaymakers staying in Costa Blanca villas will not be the only visitors to the region this month as some of the world's top golfers take part in the Castello Masters-Costa Azahar.
This event will be held at the Mediterraneo Golf Club in Borriol in the Castellon province, north of Valencia, from October 23rd to 26th.
Tickets for the event, which is a new tournament on the PGA European Tour, cost just €10 (£7.80) per day and thousands of golf enthusiasts are expected to attend.
The 18-hole course at Mediterraneo Golf Club has been slightly modified with new tees and a more complex itinerary to make it more challenging for the players taking part, including Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose.
Valencia is a highly popular region for visitors looking to play golf, with picturesque surroundings and mild weather all year round.
People staying in Costa Blanca villas can visit one of 25 golf courses in the region, including some designed by top golfers such as Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Olazabal.
