Volvo Masters comes to Cadiz |
Holidaymakers staying in Costa del Sol villas in the near future may be tempted to pay a visit to the village of San Roque in Cadiz as it hosts a major sports event.
The Volvo Masters will be held at the Valderrama golf club in San Roque from October 30th to November 2nd.
Over the past 20 years this event has been won by some of the biggest names in golf, including Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
There are a number of golfing giants, including Vijay Singh, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen, who are yet to win the Volvo Masters and they could be eager to put that right this year.
People staying in Costa del Sol villas will be able to see no fewer than 60 top golfers taking part in this event and competing for top prize money of €4.25 million (£3.4 million).
The Volvo Masters is part of the PGA European Tour, which takes place throughout the year and includes events in Italy, France, the UK, Sweden and Russia.
